How to get bigger and stronger im 19?
Im 19 and am 5'11 140 lbs. so im kinda skinny. And I really want to get a lot stronger and bigger especially in the upper body and my arms. In high school i ran cross country all four years and played rec basketball. I did weightlifting junior year second semester but have not worked out hardly at all since then. I am pretty athletic and fast (ran the mile in 5:00) but strong. I only benched 125 lbs squat 200 lbs at the end of my junior year. Now I just finished my first semester in college. I really didnt work out at all or run either. I want to start now though and get a lot stonger and bigger by next semester. I recently bought a low carb Muti-Pro Whey isolate protein shake with 26g protein. Please tell me what to do to get stronger, or supplements, exercises, or training i need to do. Since i only bench 125 lbs i want to get to 150 as soon as possible and eventually do 200 lbs(or more). I want to look good and get a lot bigger muscles in my arms. Please help.

if you REALLY WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT AND FAT then you should remember and do this:
EVERYDAY RUN ( FAST WALK) + L-Carnitine + TAKE LESS CALORIES + LIPO-6 = 100% SUCCESS

L-carnitine should be taken one hour before you will exercise! (Also you can take L-carnitine with meals or 1 to 1-1/2 hours after meals!)
L-Carnitine boosts energy by stimulating the body's burning of tryglycerides as fuel, and sparing the supply of glycogen stored in the liver for heavier exertion. During exercise, the body will burn fat at a rate of 75-80% of maximum exertion, thus less glycogen from carbohydrates is burned. L-carnitine
allows the body to burn more fat, save more glycogen, and ultimately boost stamina and endurance. By providing more fat to the muscles, carnitine makes accessible an otherwise unavailable energy source.

How much do avocados lower your blood sugar>?
I like guacamole dip, which is just avocados and spices .... and eat them with multi grain tortilla chips. How else can you eat avocados? I know some people slice them and put them on sandwiches, but im interested in other recipes. What other foods lower blood sugar? I want to eat all of those!
Avocados lowering blood sugar is news to me. I know they are good fat wise. I use them in salads and sandwiches as for lower sugars I'd say get rid of the tortilla chips.

Is powerade okay to drink regularly?
I'm a person who has been overly addicted to pop (soda for some of you) for way too long. I'm talking about drinking 4-5 cans in a days time. However, i'm quite aware that drinking that much pop is entirely unhealthy, and i'm ready to find a new regular drink for myself.
I'm a 20 year old college student that has school during the day, and work overnight unloading freight. While i'm at work, its not exactly excercise but i consider it strenuous work in which case I think having a powerade/gatorade on my breaks is 'okay'.
However, is drinking powerade on a regular basis during the day when im not performing physical activities counter-productive for my body? in terms of weight loss, health reasons, etc.
I can't stand to drink water, theres no taste. Is powerade an okay alternative? or is sometihng more expensive like vitamin water, or flavored water better?
NO. powerade is hardly even used for athletes. it's got so much sugar and so many extra calories. and vitamin water has extra calories too. BLAH. although vitamin water is beter than powerade.
try propel or crystal light packets. i buy the powder packets and pour them into my water bottles.
the packets are cheaper than buying the water bottles of propel or crystal light. crystal light only has 5 calories and propel only has 10.

Diet/meal replacement shake brands that taste good?
I'm not a big breakfast eater because, no matter what I eat, I tend to get stomach upset. I get up at 6am but usually can't tolerate food until about 10am. By that time, I'm at work and don't exactly have the time to sit to a nice meal. I wanted to try some of those weight loss shakes but there are so many opinions out there in terms of their taste. I have been trying Slim Fast Vanilla and although it does great to fill me up (it doesn't take much to fill me up), it's kind of a challenge to get down without gagging. The taste is not easily tolerable. So, my question is: are there any similar diet shakes that actually taste good? Maybe strawberry or berries (I don't like chocolate or bananas or peaches or any of those fruit combos...I don't like fruits period). My dream would be to find an awesome tasking vanilla diet shake. Ideas? All past experiences and opinions are very welcome. Thank you
Try Optimum Nutrition's 100% Casein Protein. It has fewer calories, more protein, less sugar, and less fat than a meal replacement shake like Slim Fast. It is very thick, so it is very filling. I've tried their vanilla and chocolate flavors. The Creamy Vanilla tastes like yellow cake batter, and their chocolate (Chocolate Supreme I think it's called) tastes like brownie batter. Mix with water, milk, or soymilk.
Another great protein is BSN's Dessert in Fresh Cinnamon Roll. It tastes like the milk leftover from a bowl of French Toast Crunch. It is sooo yummy. It's a blend of six different proteins, so casein is in there to make it nice and thick.

My face goes really oily and shiny, how can this stop?
Everyday i wash my face morning and night with clinique antiblemishes foaming cleanser, followed by the toner then garnier pure (i think oil free) moisturizer that contains zinc and salicyic acid. I then apply maybelline mineral makeup, and in about an hour or under my face goes really oily/shiny/greasy. I get so embarassed, at school i sneak into the bathrooms and apply makeup (powder) or blot with sheets, but its so annoying that i have to do it so often. I eat healthily, exercise etc. Everytime i apply more powder it looks blotchy and cakey. How can i stop all this oil?
i honestly eat really healthy! i rarely ever have greasy foods.
i would use less products, because even though they are cleansing products, when you use alot of different products they over stimulate your oil glands which causes the appearence of oil. I would use the cleansing foam in the morning and night but just put your powder on after that. Try not to touch your face too much during the day, as the oil from your fingers will creat oil on your face, hope this helps
